Why I Created PD App?
The purpose of creating PD App was two fold.
Firstly, I wished to create a mobile device application that would enable the end user to never have to worry about their Professional Development Hours ever again.
Secondly, I wished to create an income that can be used to continue my research into changing the paradigm in the current linear approach to education. I wish to create 'Ed Hubs' all over the world - where students can access the professional assistance from a registered professional - to assist them with their learning in any particular subject...
I am currently undertaking a dissertation at the University of Tasmania that is leading to a PhD in examining the way we utilise digital technology in learning environments. I am wishing to establish a link between the transformation on knowledge and digital connectivity to improve learning outcomes. More closely, I would like to consider if there are any changes in the neurological patterns in students who are identified as digital natives (born post 1994).
I am going to the United Nations once my PhD is completed to request funds to enable me to set up the ED-HUBS initially in twelve countries.... (all it would take is 2 hours donated by the 44 000 registered teachers in the state of Victoria, Australia over the space of 1 year - to enable 88,000hours of free tuition to students who may not have access to immediate help outside of their classroom.)
* In a standard year there are only 8,760 hours!
